For as long as I can remember, we’ve been using natural, handmade products in my household. My father, a chemist, would make everything, from laundry detergent to body moisturizer, and everything in between, for my family to use.
So when I needed an organic product to moisturize my hair and soothe my daughter’s skin, I had no problem experimenting to make it myself.
I started working organic shea butter and oils into our beauty routine to find something that would work for both myself and my daughter, Malaika Shiloh. She became my inspiration (and my tester) for each and every combination to find the best recipe for our unique skin and hair type.
What started as a hobby in 2014 has since grown into a business that is fulfilling a need for black men and women in North America.
